I Am that, I Am!
I Am that, I Am! ” is God’s simple way of saying to humanity, I exist as myself, and I will be. I Am one; I Am in you, I Am everywhere!
Encapsulated beautifully in a word called ‘Ruach’, this ancient Hebraic term refers to breathe, wind and energy, the very life force that sustains all living things! In the New Testament 'Pneuma', its equivalent refers to the Holy Spirit with the same animating life ideas.
This message of hope, makes Paul proclaim God is not far from us, for there is one Spirit... one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all ”. Then, in one of the most profound statements in the scriptures Jesus invites us into this divine oneness: “that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us...”
Eight times Jesus claims to be the eternal I AM, the burning bush in Exodus 3.
He invites us to be awakened in a spiritual sense, to come alive, to be born into this partnership with the divine.
