I Am Honour

Honour is of great importance to God, it comes right out of heaven,  lifts us up, and washes our feet.

We believe that a culture of honour is the key to cultivating, protecting, and sustaining a supernatural environment. This is created as a community of people who learn to see others in their God-given identities.

We treat people as God sees them:

  • As friends, not slaves,
  • As righteous, not sinners,
  • As wealthy, not poor,
  • As forgiven, not punishable.

This requires us to look at the core of a person’s heart rather than what is happening on the outside, past the faults and chooses to call the gold out. Through honour the resurrection life of God begins to flow into people’s lives, homes and communities, bringing healing, restoration, blessing, joy, hope and wholeness.

We are to honour:

  • Our father and mother,
  • Honour our spiritual leaders, honour kings,
  • And lastly to honour “all people” (1 Peter 2:17).

We can display honour no matter what poor choices another person might make, and keep our love on. By honouring another, we can raise the bar of expectation based upon what we see in them. Our beliefs become truths that inevitably affect our choices leaving a lasting impact on those around us.

We place a high value on protecting our connections, speaking the truth in love, keeping our love on and extending grace. We believe that the key to cultivating, protecting, and sustaining a supernatural environment is honour (2 Corinthians 3:17).
